Any public and commercial building with a patio is a popular venue for meetings and gatherings. Given the climate conditions in central Europe, it is necessary to give them a protective and rain-proof measure to make full use of the Wells throughout the year. "Wollforschungsinstitut" (German wool institute) began their roof construction work at the "aachen of the rhine-westfalische Hochschule" (the technical university of Westphalia aachen).
The architect designed a highly transparent aluminum foil roof. Obermaitmi assisted in the development and provision of this ETFE pillow including its supported steel structure. The structure is a lenticular, light-weight steel beam connected to each other. Trapezoidal aluminum foil pads fill the space between them, creating an effective protection against the rain and looking at the sky without any obstacles.
The above images are domestic and foreign ETFE membrane application cases.
